The name "Rocket" and our logo are deeply rooted in the history of McGregor, Texas. Originally known as McGregor Springs, the town was established in 1882 and quickly became a thriving hub due to its strategic location at the intersection of major railways. Over the years, McGregor grew into a prosperous community, with industries such as a cottonseed oil mill, tannery, and national bank calling it home.
In the 1940s, the area took on a pivotal role during World War II with the development of the Bluebonnet Ordinance Plant. By the 1950s, McGregor became a key site for rocket engine manufacturing, helping to launch the space age with cutting-edge technologies. The transformation of this historic town into a center of innovation inspired our bank’s name and logo, which features the inside look of a rocket’s fuel cell—a symbol of power, growth, and the future.
